St Paul Walkability: The North End, Payne-Phelan, and the Greater East Side

The St Paul Payne-Phalen, Greater East Side, the North End neighborhoods are undergoing revitalization plans, which includes a near east side road map of mixed commercial within walkable residential area.

Fall in love with an old house here, and you might just fall in love with the area and its wonderfully diverse community and unparalleled variety of small businesses it sustains. Plenty of fascinating flea markets and so many different types of enthic restaurants await visitors and nourish residents.

The Dayton’s Bluff neighborhood is highly walkable, with public transit and parks aplenty, and a delightful view of the river.

This space has a rich and varied cultural history. Many century-old homes are intact in Dayton’s Bluff, and much of the revitalization work that continues here revolves around architectural preservation. A diverse population sustains its cultural richness today.

Smart homes on the way! Dayton’s Bluff Neighborhood Housing Services has a plan for Railroad Island’s west end. It includes new homes, sustainable amenities, and a solar garden, focused on the new Village on Rivoli.

Mornings in Dayton’s Bluff are filled with the sights and sounds of people walking their dogs, jogging, and playing with their children. The nearby park is home to a cycling race and other community fun.

There’s always something wonderful waiting in the communities that makes St Paul the most livable city!
